New Members of Parliament Sworn Into the National Assembly
On June 23, 2025, the Parliament of Zimbabwe received official communication from the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) confirming the election of two new Members from the ZANU PF party. These appointments follow the by-elections held on June 14, 2025, to fill vacancies within the National Assembly.
The new representatives are:
- Hon. Masvingise Zvarevashe, representing the Gutu East Constituency.
In accordance with Section 128 (1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, every Member of Parliament must take the Oath of a Member of Parliament, as set out in the Third Schedule, before taking their seat. As prescribed by Section 128 (2), the oath was administered by the Clerk of Parliament.
Following the formal administration of the Oath of Loyalty, Hon. Zvarevashe and Hon. Moyo officially took their seats in the House amidst cheers from fellow members.
